Aurora, Nueva Ecija governors deny illegal logging raps

Let's read some news:

Santiago identifies RP's 'big-time illegal loggers'. She identified our present Governor and our last 2: Bellaflor Angara-Castillo (2004-07), Ramoncita Ong (2001-04) and Edgardo Ong (1998-2001).Here's the Senator's Top 10 Illegal Loggers.

Aurora, Nueva Ecija governors deny illegal logging raps. AURORA Governor Bellaflor Angara-Castillo described the statement of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago linking her to illegal logging as "stupid" and "untrue." In a phone interview, Castillo said the Angara clan "has never been or will never be engaged in illegal logging." "What proof does (Santiago) have? Where did she get her information?" the governor asked, saying she wanted to get a copy of the senator's speech."No one in Aurora," she added, "will ever believe (Santiago's) claim."

This is an interestiong read:
This developer burns money and cuts trees. Perhaps the biggest of all his businesses is Green Circle, which has a special private land timber license (SPLTL) covering 28,000 hectares of land in Aurora and Quezon, an area much bigger than Quezon City and larger even than Batanes. It is the biggest privately owned property in what Roxas has called the country's "Wild, Wild East." Green Circle's timber area is spread out over the towns of Dingalan, Aurora and General Nakar, Quezon, and is one of only five timber license holders in Aurora.

Let's give the governor the benefit of the doubt, but she can not deny the fact that the Angara clan have been in power for decades now in the province of Aurora. In all those years, I guess it's just stupid not to know who's cutting down the trees on the other side of Sierra Mountain. Sen. Angara and the Governor can't just say that "No one in Aurora will ever believe Sen. Santiago's claim." You can call Sen. Santiago with different names, but I believe that the people of Aurora can tell who's telling the truth!

Akaw dami palang involved.

Maliban na nga laang 'If they are presently involved to that kind of illegal business. Papa-anu mu sisisihin iyung 'matagal ng patay hala nga? Siguro sa ibang lugar may mga buhay pa then get them.
He!he!he! pasadung-pasado sa BAR at attorney nga.

Im glad that the government of the philippines is now starting to take actions on all of the illegal isssues happening in our country most particularly to that illigal logging issues. More power to the people involve in bringing down the guilty group of illegal loggers who made their fortune to the expense of others. To the Angara clan who claims their innocence, people of the province know better!!! The Ong family is just as guilty as the Angara family. And that is a fact. Even a small kid knows that... I think...

Nandiyan na nga iyan so papaano iyan? I'm glad too na after all nagising tayung lahat. I'm just sad that it took so many lives before we learned our mistakes.

Follow it to the hilt.

THAT'S THE WORST PART OF US. WE FILIPINOS ARE LIKE THAT WHEREIN IT IS ALREADY HAPPENING RIGTH AT YOUR VERY NOSE DI MU PA RIN NAAAMOY AT NAKIKITA. Command responsibily of course but where are you being a citizen? That is still every Filipinos highest duty. To speak out what you think is rigth. Ang maling nakikita ku ditu, for some they're taking advantages of the current issues. Halatang-halata na pamumulitika agad ang purpose.

Eto pa ang isang maling nakikita ku. Duun sa 'who
is responsible for watching illegal loggings, they've been arguing about it lately at kung anu-ano pa ang pinapa-sikut-sikot. One would put the blame to the local officials and then the other one would say it is the DENR responsibility to watch these illegal loggers. Ayun mga nag tuturuan sila sa kamara. KUNG TALAGANG CONCERN KA SA PAGPAPAIRAL NG mga batas tungkol sa mga anumalyang ito, then i can tell you it does not matter whether you're a governor or a DENR officer. It's everyones responsibilty.

Anonymous said...

Paano umiikut ito? Eto paka-balansehin ninyung mabuti.
From Governor Raul Lee of Sorsogon
He said that they can do only the task of fighting illegal logging only if they are deputized by Mike Defensor (DENR secretary).
They are 'HELPLESS and TOOTHLESS in moving against illegal loggers because they could be charged with acting in excess of their jurisdiction if they seize illegaly cut logs without being deputized. Diyableg laang itu oo.
Parehu na sila ni Roxas.

Nice argumment people. Haven't you guys notice that we are all unified in believing the people involve were and still are the people in power. In respect to the people in the lokal sector who should be monitoring all this, even if they know its happening, do we really think they can do something about it. No, because they're only there as puppets to the higher officials and when they are promised of something Big..., i'll bet my money they'll keep their mouth shut!!! And even if they wanted to have it resolve, it is still a no win win situation because the people in power knows the ins and outs of all these and they have their connections. It has been goin' on a long long long time and now let's just hope and pray that a change should come soon before another tragedy happens!!!!!!!!! Goodluck Balerians and Aurorians. Lets hope for a bright future of our BEAUTIFUL PROVINCE!!!!!

Last Monday, there was a news on GMA 7 (Unang Hirit and 24 Oras) about a bargeful of lumber that came from Aurora particularly Dilasag. Sen. Jamby Madrigal was on her "stop illegal logging mode" and demanded explanation for the lumbers. Sec. Defensor said that the logs have permit and were legal. Ang Gov. Castillo flatly said that the logs were not from Dilasag but from Isabela. They wer just transported to a compound in Dilasag and then hauled in a barge on the way to god knows where. How would she know?

With these statements from our officials, i wonder who are they relly protecting, their constituents or the logers?

FYI. This came from a very trusted source: The biggest private contributors to this year'a Aurora Day celebration are Atty. Romeo Roxas of Green Circle and jojo Ong of IDC. Maybe the government have no issue about it since these two were LEGAL. Ha ha ha!!!! We're doomed people!!

Wala!
